Discovery in China
Yesterday was again not an eventless day….but it was something nice…..I found a shop with Indian stuff…
And this info I want to share with all the people in the world so that anyone who wants it can get it..
Ok…I was in carrefour mall…atleast that’s what I think the spelling is. Was terribly irritated with the fact that the sim card that I bought for my mobile was not allowing me to make calls to India…ad also anything I wanted to buy was just not possible as they never understood what I wanted…
I did bharathnatyam kathakali and even twist dance trying to make them understand what I was looking for….but no luck…I chucked the idea of buying anything…
Nothing was cheap either…
Finally found milk…I badly wanted a loaf of bread…..i was looking and could not find…but I found something else….AN INDIAN WOMAN….I asked her and she explained that bread was not sold there without pork..she reffered me to another shop down the lane.
I thanked her and started walking towards the mall….but dint find anything…started thinking that she was wrong…finally looked something like the landmarks she had mentioned….i had walked for 15 mins…I decided I will walk 5 more mins…If I don’t find anything I will go back home….but I found it..
The shop is called pines. It is right next to carrefour mall…its inside the green city…opposite to the restaurants. First I went in and started searching for bread and dint find it…but guess what I found…
Pattu mami’s murukku maavu, Pillsbury chakki aatta, raagi flour, MTR ready to eat , Jamoon mix..etc etc…I was so excited that I dint even wait to see what else was there. I found my bread. People also spoke little English. It was great…
The best part is yet to come…the lady at the counter saw me and said u r so THIN and beautiful…I dint tell her that the jacket was not loose for me…..I was filling it completelyJ…I smiled and said u too…wonder what made her think that…he he heeee…..
This is great discovery I made (not that I am beautiful and THIN)…the sop is a boon, anybody in the pudong area in shanghai can go here I guess. It is located near the phoenix service apartment.
And one more thing that I discovered was….the laughing Buddha that we keep in India calling it the fengsui stuff…it is just not available everywhere…people are not very familiar with it. Some say u may get it in a certain place. But it is too expensive…are we being cheated in India about the fengsui etc
