Chandhobhyo Adhya Mruthaath Sambha Bhoova
Sa Mendhro Medhayaa Sprunothu,

May Indra – exalted as "OM" in the Vedas,
who pervades the worlds, having emerged
from the immortal Vedas – bless me intelligence..

Amruthasya Dheva Dhaarano Bhooyaasam,
Sareeram Me Vicharshanam,
Jihwaa Me Madhu Maththamaa,
Karnaabhyaam Bhoori Visruvam,

O Lord,may I receive immortality..
May my body be fit..
May my words be exceedingly sweet..
May I hear many good things with my ears..
