Niravathi Sukhadha

I love this song Niravathi sukhadha. I heard it from a student of my teacher during the thyagaraja aaradhanai. It was just too nice to hear.
I generally love the songs that are sung a little fast. i am one who tries to keep the interest of non- carnatic music lovers also. So i would like the peppy stuff more…thats what i call it. not that the other songs are not good. But i prefer these.
Niravathi sukhadha is one such marvel.
It was composed by the the great composer Thyagaraja. Hence it s a song in the telgu language. Unfortunately i do not know telgu so deeply. Hence i am unable to get the full meaning of the song.
You can enjoy a song and sing it with bhavam or feeling when you know what it actually means. i would love to get the full meaning of this song. i have searched quite a bit. but i did not find it. I just wish someone could give me the meaning.
The song is in the raagam Ravichandrika.
Aa:S R2 G3 M1 D2 N2 D2 S
Av:S N2 D2 M1 G3 R2 S
R – chathushruthi rishabam
G – Anthara gaandharam
M – shudh madhyamam
D – Chathushruthi deivtam
N – Kakali nishadham
there is another famous song in the same raagam. That is maakelara. But i don’t know this song.
The wordings of the song Niravathi Sukhadha goes as follows:
pallavi
niravadhi sukhada nirmala rUpa nirjita muni shApa

The chittaswaram that i have put down is how my master sings it. it differs a little from singer to singer.
The song is completely in the mood of bhakthi or devotion. Niravathi sukhadha literally means the one who gives limitless hapiness or bliss.
There is an equivalent raagam in hindustani which is also called Ravichandrika.

This raagam is a harikambhoji janya. so this is not a melakartha raagam. What is special that i noticed is, it does not have the note “P” in it. even a janya ragam will normally have S and P mandatorily. But here i dont find it.
Harikhambhoji has an aarohanam as S R2 G3 M1 P D2 N2
I need some research on this ravichandrika with the missng P. I am still wondering

Edit:
You could listen to the song on musicindiaonline.com http://www.musicindiaonline.com/p/x/YJb2I18kcd.As1NMvHdW/

    hi Vidhya

I know this comment is a little late for your post but not all raagas will have P. I am yet to come across any that doesn’t have Sa though. There are many raagas with no P in it example (both these are audava-audava)
    Abhogi S R2 G2 M1 D2 S/S D2 M1 G2 R2 S
    Hindolam S G2 M1 D1 N2 S/S N2 D1 M1 G2 S

    -Your namesake :)
