Misra ragam
What is a misra ragam?
I have been wondering a lot about this. I still dont have a very good exeplanation for it. But theoritically this is what it is:
we have a ragam with its actual swarams…to give it a better feel and a little less carnatic touch…somtitmes for some raagams some other swarams are mixed…hence the ragam becomes a mixed ragam which is a misra ragam…
basically the ragam is not having some other swrams in it and hence is not the pure form of itself.
Just the basic meaning….
when this can be done and how exactly this is done is still out of my reach
