Jaya jaanakikaantaa – naaTTai

I got a few chances to display my talents as a classical dancer on stage… and some of these chances were given by my mother’s ladies club. I always had one place in their annual programs list…

One of the dances that I performed was for the song Jaya Janaki. Somehow….the song that I danced for sounded very different in terms of the tune. I could not find it over the internet. Since this performance was a very long time back….more than 15 years I guess…. I do not have any details of which cassette I used or anything…

Those were the days when I was a dancer and n NO WAY a singer….I even tried  to find contacts of my dance teacher on the internet…as a matter of fact I even found her email ID….but somehow it did not work out. The mails I sent her bounced back. I dont know if she remebers me…but I can never forget Padmam school of performing arts….the teacher…the dog in their house….teacher’s mom…..I cannot forget…..

getting back to the point….

It was sometime back in my life when I was in complete ignorant state with regards to music:)
But of course I did find the lyrics and the song sung (in a different way:(  ) by ML Vasanthakumari.
