Sangeetha samrajya sancharini

I was listening to navarathri vizha program on vijay TV…I came across this song… Sangeetha samrajya sancharini. I have no idea where I know this song from. I browsed thru all my music books…but I have not officially learnt it in my class…but I knew every single line in the song. I am still a little surprised with my knowledge of this song…but I was intrigued to figure out the ragam of the song and so here i am blogging about it.

Interestingly this song seems to have 2 versions…one in the Mohana raagam and one in the mohanakalyani raagam. The one I will describe here is the mohanakalyani raagam. for the version in mohana raagam you could refer to http://www.karnatik.com/c3571.shtml

there was a beautiful chittaswaram that was rendered…but I dont know the swram here and so unabel to put it down…

you could listen to the song by Chaarulatha Mani at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3H7pmClz2I
