Kanda naal mudhal was the movie in which this song was composed.
The song was kanda naal mudhalai….a nice song on how one falls in love with the lord.

A comment in the blog at http://ythee.blogspot.com/2005/12/kanda-naal-mudhal.html says that it is madhuvanthi raagam and aadhi thalam composed originally by N S Chidambaram.

The movie’s music director was Yuvan Shankar Raja and he has given a little remix touch to the song. It is still very nice

But there seems to be a lot of debate on if this is composed in raagam Devakriya or Shuddha Saveri. What I know is Devakriya is the same raagam as Shuddha Saveri…it is the name given for the same raagam in the Dikishitar mela system.

Its a very simple but nice song….short and sweet.

Also…if you listen to maarugo maarugo in sathi leelavathi movie…you would find that it is similar to alaipayuthe kanna….there u go…its kaanada…lots of familiar stuff isnt it??
