This is is a song that I heard in Vishaka Hari’s Sundara kaandam upanyasam. I have not heard many carnatic songs that are composed on Lord Hanuman. I have also never learnt a song in Dharmavathi ragam. So this is song is one of its kind in my list.

Another beautiful composition in the Yamuna Kalyani raagam is bhavayami gopala balam…
I hvae heard this composition in MS subbalakshmi’s voice only. I love the song for its melody….I also have a fascination for songs composed on lord Krishna and I think this love for this song is also as a result of that…

My sister wanted to play a lot of songs on the keyboard and kept asking me for the notes of songs. unfortunately… I am not a great mucisian…(no where even close to the word musician…forget about being great)…and so I could not decipher the notes when a song was sung.

I heard the song Hari smarane by Purandara dasa and could not help but notice the uncanny resemblance with Krishna nee begane baro. Somehow I felt it was not just the ragam that was the same…..most of the swarams also looked same to me.
