They were together from pre-school…..and that’s when it started….years have gone by…..and there we were shaking each other’s hands after all these years…..feelings that cannot really be described were rushing…suddenly my complete childhood was racing in front of my eyes….one part of it which had been dumped in the corner of my brain…..I never knew I cared so much….But at that moment I knew….we were friends forever ….and it was always meant to be
Dad and Uncle studied in the same school and same class from standard 1….they got married and continued their friendship…. K and N were our friends from the day we were born.
N and Sang were of the same age and so were K and I. Every weekend was a gala time together…..EVERY SINGLE weekend. We knew their entire family and they knew ours. We were really family friends.
Almost every summer holidays we had vacations together….
Kodai, ooty, yercaud, mysore, tirupathi, rameshwaram….and so many other places….
It was an amazing friendship….the time we spent at the indiranagar club playing hide and seek behind cars….the time when we played tippu sultan and hyderali….N was made Hyderali always:)…
The French toasts that uncle made me eat….
The time we used to trick Gowri (the maid) to do some mischief
The hotels that we have been to….
The running around we have done…
Oh my God……we have spent our whole childhood together..
Time went by….and so many reasons made us go out of touch. Suddenly it was N’s wedding and she personally invited us. It was touching…. Sang and I were there with dad and unfortunately mom could not make it..
It was an amazing feeling………….it feels great when so many people remember you…and N….she still looked the same….can’t believe that she actually got married…
We also got to meet many others of the same gang…uncles and aunts and their children..all of us who used to hang out together most of the time
I had no idea what to talk to N and K when we met… I dint know what they were now…it has been so long that I had no idea what to expect….but still it just felt good.
What amazed me was….when I was thinking about how we spent time together… I realized one thing…. These were the first set of friends with whom we never discussed what happened at school. My school friends are very well known to everyone….but not N and K. because we never discussed school…..don know why…maybe we had so much more to do when we were together.
Life is so complicated…such events just make it a little lighter…..
