It seems used tea powder can be used to clean oily vessels….I am going to try this right today
To remove lipstick stains from clothes, soak the stain in methylated spirit. Spread a little glycerin to soften it and finally wash with soap and warm water.
If playing cards stick together, sprinkle some talcum powder over them, you can have a smooth deal.
To prevent the pages of books from turning brittle and brown, sprinkle vibhuthi or grey ash in between them. The pages will retain their shine and strength.
Most of the times we have silver items at home that become blackish. To make them sparkle again you can try this.
Fill a vessel with water. Put aluminum foil pieces into the water and immerse the silver item in this water for a few hours.
When you take it out, you will find it nice and sparkling.
Protect your clothes. Take care of them so that they last longer
wrap silk clothes in muslin cloth or dhothis
do not keep on plastic or newspaper
Take few black pepper balls. Tie it in a small piece of cloth and place it in the cupboard.

Place naphthalene balls in a tied cloth.
Preparing natural soap:
Methi powder 1 tbsp
Shikhakai 3 tbsp
Moong powder 3 tbsp
pudina extracted water
Make a liquid out of the above. Your soap is ready.

Fenugreek (Hindi: Methi , Tamil: vendhayam, Kannada: Menthya)powder 1 tbsp
Shikakai (you can buy it from the shop. I would prefer to use Rose brand)3 tbsp
Green gram(Hindi:Moong, Tamil:Payaru, Kannada: hasiru bele) powder 3 tbsp
pudina extracted water
Make a liquid out of the above. Your soap is ready.
Dry lemon peels in the shade and grind them into powder. Mix one tbsp of this powder in your ordinary washing powder and wash your clothes as usual. They will come out sparkling clean.
To make bath towel more absorbent and soft, put a handful of salt in a bucket of water and soak the towel for 2 hrs. Wash and dry.
If you keep a few camphor tablets in the cupboard in which you keep your silverware, your silver will not tarnish
To ease tight shoes, keep a piece of cut potato in the shoes overnight.
